1 Arrival in Leh – Gateway to the Himalayas

Altitude:- 11,562 ft
Arrive at Leh Airport:- transfer to a 3-star / (as per guest demand) hotel.
Rest to acclimatize to 3,500m altitude.
Evening visit to Shanti Stupa for sunset views and Leh Market for local crafts and cuisine (try thukpa).
Overnight in Leh.

2 Unveiling Leh’s Heritage & Sham Valley Wonders

Altitude:- 9,000 ft (Sham Valley)
Visit Alchi Monastery , Magnetic Hill , Gurudwara Pathar Sahib , and Hall of Fame Museum
Return to Leh.
Overnight stay in Leh.
Distance:- 70 km (3-4 hours).

3 Epic Crossing – Khardung La to Nubra Valley

Altitude:- Khardung La (18,380 ft), Nubra Valley (10,000 ft)
Drive to Nubra Valley (150 km, 5–6 hours) via Khardung La Pass (5,360m), one of the world’s highest motorable roads.
Visit Diskit Monastery with its towering Maitreya Buddha statue.
Enjoy a Double- Humped Camel ride in Hunder.
Overnight in a cozy camp in Nubra.

4 Nubra Valley – Turtuk Village – Nubra Valley

Drive to Turtuk Village (approx. 85 km round trip)

5 Nubra to Pangong – Lakeside Serenity via Shyok River

Drive to Pangong Lake via Shyok route.
Spend time at the lake’s serene shores.
Arrive at the awe-inspiring Pangong Tso:- 1) Witness its shimmering blue tones. 2) Unwind by the lakeside, capturing the perfect photo moments.
Overnight in a lakeside camp.

6 Pangong – Hanle (Remote Changthang & Dark Skies)

After early breakfast, continue along Changthang region towards Hanle via Man–Merak–Chushul–Tsaga–Loma route, commonly used by Ladakh tour operators (approx. 175–220 km, 7–9 hrs depending on route and road).
Arrive Hanle, check-in at basic guesthouse/homestay; experience one of India’s darkest night skies, ideal for Milky Way and star trails (subject to weather/permissions).
Overnight in Hanle

7 Hanle to Umling La & Tso Moriri (150 km / 6-7 hrs)

Post-breakfast, drive to Umling La Pass (19,024 ft), the world's highest motorable road—thrilling ascent with panoramic views.
Continue to Tso Moriri Lake via Mahe Bridge.
Arrive at Korzok Village:- walk around the high-altitude wetland lake (15,075 ft), a Ramsar site with rare wildlife.
Overnight Camp near Tso Moriri.

8 Tso Moriri to Leh via Puga Valley & Tsokar

After breakfast, head back to Leh. En route,
visit Puga Valley (famous for geothermal hot springs and sulfur deposits), Tsokar Lake (salt lake with nomadic Changpa herders and wildlife), and cross Polokongka Pass (16,140 ft) and Taglang La (17,480 ft). Arrive in Leh by evening.
